Sadness grips flightless wings.
For the love of a maiden; whose beauty in all the heavens never hath seen.
I left my birth right; no longer am I welcome in the halls of my kings.
Once wings shinned a radiant light, they now capture choking all forms with crushing might.
I hang my head for the choice to become forsaken can never be undone.
But still she did not run.

Is still my heart beseeched by the thoughts of her touch, her smile, her laugh, and her kiss?
Haunting memories, shall I never be allowed to miss?
Even now she takes form; my mortal angel, my forbidden love.
Against all my wishes she was struck dow

Everything is dark.

I see the world around me,

But never taking part.

My friends just overlook it,

I don't think they can see,

The thing inside,

That is killing me.

It tears at my heart and soul,

Eating me alive.

That I could just die.

I want someone to notice,

See that I am there.

To hold me close and tell me,

That they really care.

Everyone's so wrapped up in their life,

That all they see is their own.

I want them to see that I am sitting here,

Confused and so alone.

I want someone to help me,

But no one seems to care.

I'm wasting my life on wishing,

That I was never her

The goal of this contest was to interpret another persons work with a creation of their own.  For example for poetry, it would be interpreted with a visual creation and a visual piece should be interpreted with a poem.

First Official Contest!!!Hello everyone, I want to announce that we here at Souls of Artists are having our first official contest :iconcheerplz:
It is something that is different and to my knowledge has never been done before.

The contest will have two categories, Artistic and Writing. There will be winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each category.
