In this piece you will see an annual Halloween bash for all the ghostly beings. This year they actually were able to get "live" undead music. Belinda the banshee is belting out her best accompanied by Vitorio the vampire on his haunting violin. Elmira, the witch and new to the ghostly community is playing the wallflower while awaiting her strapping date, Sven, who you can see just coming through the door. This year even some phantom ghosts decided to join in the dance.
Using Daz Studio 4.9 pro, this took about 2 days total to create. Of that 2 days, 8 hours was spent in rendering with 3dlight. Those ghosts can sure make for long renders.
This was my 3d entry for Renderosity's Halloween contest, I always the challenge of ghosts in 3d. Will be glad when someone comes up with a convincing ghost shader for iray, everything I have seen so far has looked more like xrays. Out of 120 entries this placed 4th.
While wandering through the local cemetary and shooting a few photos, I stumbled upon what appeared to be what could only be a confused spirit. As I watched through my camera's viewfinder, it looked as if this ghostly apparition couldn't find the grave he came from. He went from one grave to another looking at each gravestone closely. I was able to track his movements with this photo.
This photo was taken with a Nikon d90
15 sec at f/13, focal length 66 mm, iso 200, no flash. It was taken at 8 pm
My husband played the ghost, he is such an accommodating subject. I was inspired by the adventure of "ghost hunting" with my camera to see what I could accomplish with just one exposure. Only postwork was adding a filter and resizing in Photoshop.
This was an entry for the Halloween Contest over at Renderosity Photography section. Although it didn't place, I wanted to share it with you
